SCOTTISH women's views are being ignored by the nation's male-dominated media, it was claimed yesterday.
A study carried out by Stirling University found that although women such as Jackie Bird and Sarah Heaney account for 41 per cent of all television news presenters and reporters, women in general feature in only 18 per cent of stories.
Dr David Miller, of Stirling's Media Research Institute, said: "This report exposes a serious lack of diversity in the news and media industry."
